Skin Suite Rx offers several treatment options for controlling acne. An individualized treatment plan, dependent on several factors (severity and type of acne, skin type, medical history, patient's lifestyle, etc.) will be developed by our team of consultants and aestheticians to provide the patient with optimal results. This plan may include chemical peels, medical microdermabrasions, Blu-U light therapy, prescription-grade skin care products, Levulan PDT (Photodynamic Therapy) or a combination of treatments.

BLU-U ^® Light Therapy: BLU-U ^® gets to the core of what causes acne. The bacteria responsible for causing acne inflammation pumps out tiny molecules called porphyrins. When porphyrins are exposed to certain wavelengths of light, they produce free radicals that kill the bacteria. Without the bacteria present to cause inflammation, acne clears up.
